Placement of the implant
The implant procedure is performed under local anesthesia, which ensures comfort and no pain for the patient. The dental surgeon makes a small incision in the gum to expose the bone, and then places the implant screw into the jawbone. Once the implant is placed, the site is sutured, beginning the healing process.
Osseointegration
Once the implant is placed, there is the crucial stage of osseointegration, the process by which the implant integrates with the jawbone. This process can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months, depending on the patient's individual characteristics and health.
Fastening the abutment and crown
Once the implant has been successfully integrated into the bone, another visit is made, during which the surgeon will attach the abutment (abutment) to the implant. Then, after a suitable prosthetic crown is prepared, it is mounted on the abutment, restoring full functionality and aesthetics to the patient's smile.
Follow-up visits and follow-up care
Once the implant process is complete, regular follow-up visits are important to make sure the implant is functioning properly and staying in good condition. Our specialists at Smile Factory also provide support and instruction on proper implant care.
